A KinleighCare family starting point

Starting a new school year

The first weeks of school can fill a kitchen counter with forms, dates and half-finished reminders. You do not need a perfect system. You need one place to see what is coming and who is taking care of it.

If you do one thing

Confirm the next school day: where the child needs to be, who is responsible and what needs to leave the house.

Three small steps

Enough to make the next part clearer

1

Gather the original school information

Keep the school calendar, dismissal instructions and contact details close to the family summary. A short note is useful; the school’s original instruction is still the source.

2

Name the responsible adult

Put a name beside transportation, forms, activities and follow-up. “We will handle it” is easy to forget. “Jordan will return the form Thursday” is easier to carry out.

3

Look only one week ahead

Check the next seven days for closures, equipment, appointments and unusual pickup plans. A small weekly reset is more likely to happen than a system that needs constant attention.
